CORENET researcher Prof. Wilhelm Huck presented work progress in Italy and Australia
With two talks titled “Molecular information processing using chemical reaction networks” has Prof. Wilhelm Huck from CORENET partner Radboud Universiteit presented his recent work on understanding and replicating the physical environment and reaction networks of the living cell.
His first presentation on 28 February 2025 in Sydney, Australia, at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) was organised as part of the Cavill Lectures. Inaugurated in 2011 after a generous donation by Emeritus Professor G. W. K. (Ken) Cavill, this series of lectures aims to award the yearly lectureship to someone distinguished in the field of biological organic chemistry.
Prof. Huck’s second presentation took place during the 20th European Symposium on Organic Reactivity (ESOR2025) from 9-12 September 2025 in Padua, Italy. ESOR is a long-running European biennial conference series that started in Paris in 1987 and has since been organized in 14 different countries. The primary aim is the exchange of the latest developments and ideas in the field of physical organic chemistry, particularly regarding organic reactivity.
The wide expertise of Prof. Huck’s research group in microfluidic reactors contributes to the CORENET project by leading efforts on development and use of microfluidic reactors and by providing the ability to produce controllable microdroplet and hydrogel compartments with various compositions.
